Who typically pays for the real estate commissions at closing?

Typically the Seller pays the real estate commission fees at closing. The title company deducts it from the proceeds at closing, and then issues the Seller a check for the remainder.

Is it really necessary to use a Realtor® when buying or sell a home?

It is in every Buyer and Sellers best interest to use a Realtor®. People don't realize the amount of legal issues that can arise if a sale is not properly handled and can result in lawsuits. Aside from the legal ramifications, those that attempt to sale their own home or buy a home without representation end up losing money in the process. Can I buy a home and sell my home at the same time?

Yes! Once an offer is made with a projected closing date on the home you are selling, we begin making offers on the home you want to purchase. In most cases, we make the new purchase contingent on the closing of the home you're selling. We line up the closing dates to smoothly transition from one to the other.

If I'm ready to buy a home, should I call a Real Estate Agent first? What's the first thing I should do?

Your first call should be to the mortgage lender of your choice to find out exactly what you are qualified for. If you do not have a mortgage lender in mind, I will put you in touch with my preferred network of lenders with unbeatable rates, and stellar customer service to help you get started.
